Professional Aid Services (PAS) provides assistance to affected communities by providing expert assistance in managing unsolicited donations, unaffiliated volunteers, and the implementation and operation of Points of Distribution.
The goals of PAS are
- To minimize waste and ineffective uses of donated food and supplies in response to areas where disasters have occurred.
- To professionally fulfill the Logistics-Supply Unit within the National Incident Management System.
- To operate within a “Unified Command” structure in respect to all entities actively responding to disastrous situations.
- To support local communities in times of overwhelming need for human services.
- To operate in full cooperation with municipal, county, state and federal governmental authorities through their respective command structure and disaster response plan.
- To provide resources to appropriate responding agencies, governmental and non-governmental, for the purpose of meeting needs of communities affected by a disaster.
- To provide a tangible assurance for donors that their donations will be used as intended.
- To support the overall mission of Global Assist Network through cooperative work with all who actively respond to disasters.
Professional Aid Services establishes itself through the local and state emergency management teams as the official agency to receive non-cash donations. The donations are received at a donations staging area where they are then logged and sent on to appropriate points of distribution. Donors receive an acknowledgement for their donation, and the counties served receive a list of donors and items received. County Emergency Managers are constantly updated about items received and how areas are being served.
Professional Aid Services uses organized volunteer groups and individual volunteers to operate points of distribution. PAS works “as the” or “with the” appointed Volunteer Management agency to place volunteers where they can best serve the community—accurately tracking information about each volunteer that is needed by the county being served.
Through its nationwide relationships, Professional Aid Services seeks out the private and faith-based organizations that respond to disasters in unaffiliated roles. Our goal is to capture information about the services these organizations can provide, and then integrate them in ways that will provide an effective, comprehensive response, yet not take away from the individual identities or mission of each organization.
Professional Aid Services understands the role of governmental agencies, as well as the role of private and faith-based organizations. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the two. All responders have unique goods or services to offer. We want to assist everyone involved and enhance their offerings by moving them into an established disaster response network and plan that will allow each individual and group to work most efficiently and most effectively.

Professional Aid Services' extensive experience in the operation of Points Of Distribution (POD) is offered to counties as a way for them to provide the most efficient method for supplying the communities’ needs. PAS will assist with locations, site plans, logistics, staffing, equipment and resources to operate a most effective POD—single or multiple.
Professional Aid Services seeks its operational support from individual donors, churches, grants, and foundations. PAS does not actively seek financial donations from within the disaster zone during its response. Our priority is to serve the needs of the victims during an activated disaster response.
Professional Aid Services maintains a warehouse of items that enable us to respond more quickly to the needs of those in disaster situations. A list of the items we currently need is available.
We also invite you to particpate in our Global Disaster Bucket program. Both Clean-up Buckets and Baby Buckets are available for individual or group involvement.
