The Disaster Clean-up Bucket is distributed immediately after a disaster occurs to those families and individuals who live in the affected areas and need the supplies that are contained in these buckets.

A Disaster Clean-up Bucket includes the following items:

• One new 5 gallon bucket with lid
• A box of assorted bandages
• One tube antibiotic ointment
• One small bottle hydrogen peroxide
• Bar of soap
• Small bottle shampoo
• One packaged roll of toilet tissue
• One small bottle of dish soap
• Scrubbing sponges
• Two toothbrushes and toothpaste
• One can bug spray
• Box of one gallon size zippered storage bags
• Box of large trash bags
• One roll of paper towels
• Two large bath towels
• Two washclothes
• Two dishcloths
• Two dishtowels
• Two candles
• One flashlight with batteries
• One or two pair medium and large work gloves
• Small bottle of bleach
• Disinfectant cleaner

You might also want to consider including a $10 gift card to Walmart, Target, K-Mart or other national chain store that can be used to purchase deodurant and other personal items. If you include a gift card, please be sure it is on top of the items where it is easily seen.

Additional items for clean up can be included in the bucket. However, the lid MUST close tightly!

If you live near Global Assist Network's home office, these buckets can be made up and delivered to our warehouse.

However, if you do NOT live near our home office, we invite you to provide Global Assist Network with a check for $55 to cover the cost of the above items. Volunteers will purchase the items and put together the bucket for you at our warehouse.

Along with your check, please send in a separate envelope a short letter/note to the recipient of the bucket. Please include your name and city and state. If you wish to include your mailing address, that is up to you. There are times when the recipients have written to those who provided them with the clean up items. However, a letter/note from you to the family or individual who is dealing with tragedy and loss lets them know that someone they don't even know wants to assist them in their time of need.
